Bio from March 2019 (check out the legacy bio below for a fun time warp):
I’m (turning) 25 (in three days). Born and raised in Kansas City, I’m a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City with an English degree.
Three weeks ago, I got a job as a web developer. My four months spent in LaunchCode’s LC101 boot camp paid off, in other words.
I’m learning how to wrestle with the huge, powerful, cumbersome AEM software, honing my JavaScript skills, and learning Angular and React at the same time. I plan to document much of that process here.
And I’m continuing to write about mountain biking.
Bio from September 2018:
I’m 24, born and raised in Kansas City, a recent English graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City, currently working in marketing at a tractor-trailer and tank repair shop. Somehow, I still don’t know how to change my own oil.
In August 2018 I began LaunchCode’s LC101 course with the idea that this time next year I’ll have a job in front-end web development (a goal that I’m thoroughly jinxing by writing this blog).
In January 2018 I took up mountain biking and soon discovered bad-ass trails that have been hiding a mile from where I live this whole dang time.
I find that I have thoughts on these and other topics (like cheesy Romance novels and true crime podcasts, to name a couple), which is why I’m writing this blog. I hope someone out there enjoys it —
Onwards and upwards, unless you’re mountain biking in which case: Onwards and downwards!
